This Privacy Policy explains how CFO Forge LLC ("CFO FORGE", "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses discloses, and protects personal information when you visit www.cfoforge.com (the "Site") or interact with us. This policy is tailored or compliance with the California Consumer Privadcy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA (Cal. Civ. Code §1798.100 et seq.) and other applicable U.S privacy laws. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in our Terms & Conditions.


Plain-English summary (not a substitute for the full terms): This website provides information about fractional CFO services offered by CFO Forge LLC (the “Company”). Visiting or using the site does not create a client relationship. Any services are governed by a separate written engagement agreement. California law governs these Terms.

1) Scope & Who This Policy Covers

By accessing or using www.cfoforge.com (the “Site”) or any content, materials, or resources provided through it (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Website Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

  • Visitors and prospective clients who use the Site or contact us;
  • Individuals who receive our marketing communications; and
  • Client representatives interacting with us about services.

Client data processed under an Engagement Agreement. Data we handle while providing services to a client is governed by the applicable Engagement Agreement (and any data‑protection addendum), not this Policy.By accessing or using www.cfoforge.com (the “Site”) or any content, materials, or resources provided through it (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Website Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2) Personal Information We Collect

Information we may collect directly from you:

  • Identifiers & contact data: name, business email, phone (if provided), company, role, mailing address.
  • Inquiry content: details you provide in a contact form or during discovery calls submitted via Webflow forms and/or Calendly.

Information collected automatically:

  • Device/usage data: IP address, browser type/version, pages viewed, timestamps, referring/exit pages.
  • Cookies & similar tech: pixels, local storage, and analytics tags used for Site operation, security, and performance measurement (including Google Analytics). (See Cookies below.)

Information from third parties:

  • Lead sources & referrals, publicly available business contact info, or conference/partner lists consistent with applicable law.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (e.g., precise geolocation, government IDs, financial account numbers) via the Site.

3) Purposes for Use

  • Operate, secure, debug, and improve the Site;
  • Respond to inquiries, schedule calls, and communicate with you;
  • Perform analytics and measure Site performance;
  • Enforce our Terms, prevent fraud, and comply with law;
  • Prepare for a business transaction (e.g., merger, acquisition) as permitted by law.

4) Our Disclosures of Personal Information

We disclose personal information to:

  • Service providers/contractors that host the Site, provide analytics, email, scheduling, or customer support (bound by written contracts limiting use of your information), including: Webflow (site hosting and forms processing); Microsoft 365 (email and document storage/processing); Google Analytics (site analytics/measurement); Calendly (meeting scheduling and related notifications).
  • Professional advisers (lawyers, accountants) under confidentiality;
  • Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security;
  • Successors/assignees in a corporate transaction consistent with this Policy.

We do not sell personal information for money. We also do not “share” personal information for cross‑context behavioral advertising at this time. If that changes, we will update this Policy and provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link.

5) Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described above, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We use objective criteria (e.g., interaction history, legal holds, tax/audit requirements) to set retention periods and regularly review for deletion or de‑identification.

6) Cookies & Analytics

We use strictly necessary cookies for Site functionality and may use limited analytics cookies (e.g., Google Analytics) to understand aggregate Site usage. We do not use cookies for cross‑context behavioral advertising, and we do not sell or share personal information.

You can manage cookies via your browser settings and Google’s opt‑out tools. If we implement advertising or other non‑essential cookies in the future, we will present a cookie banner with choices (e.g., Accept / Manage) and honor your preferences, including any Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals for sale/share opt‑out where applicable.

Do Not Track signals. We currently do not respond to DNT browser signals. If we enable a preference signal (e.g., GPC), we will honor it for sale/share opt‑out where applicable.

7) Your California Privacy Rights (CPPA/CPRA)

California residents have the right to:

  • Know/Access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collected, used, disclosed, and the sources/purposes;
  • Delete personal information we collected, subject to exceptions;
  • Correct inaccurate personal information;
  • Opt‑out of sale or sharing (not applicable today; we’ll enable if practices change);
  • Limit use of sensitive personal information (not applicable today because we do not use SPI beyond permitted purposes);
  • Non‑discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.

Verification. We will verify your identity using information reasonably related to your request. Authorized agents may submit requests by providing proof of authorization and the consumer’s verification, as required by law.

Appeals. If we deny your request, you may reply to our decision email and request reconsideration; we will explain our reasons in writing consistent with applicable law.

8) Children's Privacy

Our Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child provided information to us, contact support@cfoforge.com and we will delete it.

9) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10) International Visitors

We are based in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., your information may be processed in the U.S. where laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

11) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The Effective Date above indicates the latest revision. Material changes will be posted on the Site and become effective when published unless otherwise required by law.
